Whether it’s selecting the best locally grown, seasonal flowers at market, or sourcing special plants from nearby nurseries, Sophia loves creating little snapshots of the weird, wonderful and enduringly romantic natural world around her. 

Based in Sydney, her studio specialises in botanic set design for stills photography, along with floral styling for events, editorial and commercial projects.

Sophia is also a horticulturalist and the co-author of five plant and design books - Leaf Supply, Indoor Jungle, Plantopedia, Bloom, and most recently Outside In.

She has worked with a diverse range of clients, including the Sydney Opera House, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Mud Australia, Maison Balzac, Glossier, Paspaley, InStyle, Lexus, Mecca, Vivid Sydney, Coach, Space Furniture, Longines, Rizer, Cult Design, Vogue, Gourmet Traveller, Loreal, Audi, OzHarvest, Entropico, and Iittala.
